Our Wayfair warehouse in Kassel has a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Photographer to join our Imagery team. As a Junior Photographer you will ensure that brand standards are upheld, and that the photography sets fully operational.

What you'll do

  • Is comfortable wearing many "hats"; junior photographer, studio assistant, stylist, prepper, merchandise coordination
  • Ability to review photography and ensure consistent execution against style guide, q/a for color accuracy and proper exposure for each shot while performing approvals
  • Partner with Lead Photographer to ensure that photography assets meet and exceed business goals
  • Maintain an orderly and updated set, workspace
  • Coordinate merchandise to maintain production on multiple sets at once
  • Partner with Assistant operations manager to keep continuous flow of product
  • Communicate and act clearly and concisely in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Accountable for moving samples and set elements required for photo shoot
  • Collaborate with studio teams to review production timelines
  • Communicating with onset teams to ensure timelines are being followed for appropriate set changes as needed.
  • Successfully provide relevant and immediate feedback in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • Works with photographers to execute set changes based on daily assignments and Style guide requirements.
  • Works with Lead Photographer to execute equipment maintenance, repair tracking and inventory list updates.

What you'll need

  • Degree or professional qualification in photography would be preferable, but not required
  • Experience in studio photography preferably
  • Entry level lighting experience such as working with strobe and continuous lighting
  • Knowledge of photographic formats and files
  • Technical knowledge of camera types, image processing and color temperature/balancing
  • Comfortable and proficient with hand tools
  • Comfortable on a stepladder
  • Able to lift and move packages and set elements of 10-40kgs on a regular basis
  • Ability to multitask and operate independently with familiarity in working in diverse environments
  • Ability to be flexible as work assignments may vary from day to day, based on production needs
  • An online photography portfolio that demonstrates basic knowledge of digital photography, lighting, composition, color quality, and aesthetics
  • Solutions-driven with the ability to react to challenges with optimism and implement new process
  • Tech savvy
  • Grip and rigging experience
