Duties: Run teams that build and modify web-based ecommerce applications to be integrated with current platforms. Program and query several large and complex SQL databases. Develop software algorithms to streamline back end business workflow. Develop and code robust, elegant, and scalable software that performs well under high loads. Direct system testing and validation procedures. Use creative resources to solve complex business challenges, understanding our needs, risks and making appropriate technology decisions. Manage, coach, and mentor engineers and managers on best design practices, performance architecture, and how to be high functioning leaders in their areas of ownership.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of software development experience. Experience must include:
Four (4) years in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Hands-on coding and development of robust e-commerce tools, front-end interfaces, and scalable web services
Three (3) years in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Pre-production code reviews of other developers’ code to screen for potential issues in security, validity, and code-standards
Two (2) years in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Providing time and effort estimates for complex technical projects
- Systems design and architectural planning for complex, multi-server, and scalable web applications and web services
One (1) year in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Managing and directing the work of other developers.
