Job Description

Plumbing Specification Manager

Responsibilities include:

  • Generate trust with clients by becoming a consultant and trusted product advisor
  • Meet and exceed sales performance metrics
  • Maximize conversion and profitability on incoming sales opportunities
  • Consult with end users to uncover project needs
  • Recommend appropriate products for each opportunity
  • Collaborate with business account managers to develop account penetration plans for key accounts
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for all large projects including RFQs and RFIs
  • Partner with category management to identify areas of opportunity in our product offering
  • Partner with training to create specialized training material
  • Inform senior management of all relevant industry design and pricing trends
  • Regional travel as needed
  • Be the product expert in the B2B sales family
  • Take appropriate action to solve customer problems
  • Present customized solutions to end user decision makers
  • Generate winning pricing proposals that close deals and maximize profitability


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in the plumbing industry, residential and commercial
  • Existing relationships with end users and influencers
  • Bachelor’s degree (will consider relevant industry work experience)
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrated analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional selling and presentation skills (written, verbal)
  • Ability to travel regionally as needed
