About Our Team:

We’re growing FAST and are now a top-3 strategic priority for Wayfair.  We run lean & agile, and are looking for self-starters with an entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity, dogged determination to win, and passion for driving digital solutions that will change the way a billion people shop online. Every role in the group is roughly 50% scale and 50% innovation, and every role contributes to solving problems that have never been solved before. Imagery Strategy and Operations:

Many of Wayfair’s customers and would-be customers are accustomed to shopping for their home in-person, preferring to “see, touch, and feel”. At Wayfair, we’re breaking this mold in a BIG way. The Visualization team’s goal is to accelerate this process by defining how we use rich visuals and engaging media to inform, inspire, and educate our customers throughout the funnel.

We define what visuals we need, where/when/and how to display them, and discover new ways to optimize. In the new world of visual immersion that we’re building, imagery and rich media represent the global language we use to communicate with our customers, and we aim to be exceptional here.

  • Questions we solve for:
    • How do we uncover what our customers care about most when shopping?
    • How do we deliver visually enriched digital experiences that answer our customer’s questions, assuage her concerns, and build her confidence so she comes back for more?
    • How do we build a visual ecosystem that exceeds all expectations?

You’d be a great fit for this organization if you’re any combination of the following:

  • You’re a top performer at a top-tier tech or consulting company. Stellar academic record is a plus.
  • You believe in failing fast, learning, testing and iterating
  • You’re ambitious and routinely bite off more than you can chew
  • You’re flexible, humble, and confident and are a stellar cross-functional partner across product and creative teams

Qualifications/Attributes:

  • 7+ years of experience or 1+ years post MBA experience preferred
  • 1+ years management experience preferred
  • Experience in management consulting, private equity, investment banking, or corporate strategy preferred
  • Thrives in a high growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrated experience independently developing a strategy and driving tangible results across teams in an ambiguous environment while leveraging data from a multitude of sources to tell a story and impact the overarching strategy.  Advanced excel skills needed
  • Evidence of “scrappy startup execution” and a “get it done” attitude when time is tight and stakes are high
  • Proven experience and passion for working across functions and with c-level leaders, synthesizing multiple points of view and owning a coherent action plan, all while negotiating and influencing others
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style based on the audience
