Senior Manager, Talent & Learning Operations

The Senior Manager is responsible for two major components of our global Talent technology operations:  Learning & Development (L&D) technology and support operations and Workday HRIS support operations

Leading L&D Technology and Support Operations, you will develop and manage the strategic roadmap for our Learning Management System (LMS) platform and our approach to analytics, reporting, communication, scheduling, and coordination across L&D globally.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage a small team of administrators to manage day-to-day operations and tackle complex projects to improve how Wayfair provides learning opportunities to employees
  • Work closely with our Talent Analytics team to collect, analyze, and act on insights from L&D data.
  • Help to shape the company’s learning technology strategy
  • Manage our Learning Management System, Cornerstone, and drive our roadmap for completing the rollout and optimization of Cornerstone functionality on a global scale
  • Priority projects include (1) designing and implementing initiatives to better leverage technology in a way that engages learners and enables scalability of our fast-growing company, (2) identifying opportunities for process improvement, and (3) partnering with program leaders in L&D and across the business to operationally support ambitious cohort-based training programs.

 Leading our Workday HRIS Support Operations, you will own the day-to-day employee experience in Workday, developing a strategy, approach, and process to ensure maximum adoption and a positive user experience. To accomplish this, you will:

  • Manage our EU and US Talent Operations support teams responsible for keying hires and employee changes into Workday, assisting managers through complex reorganizations, and conducting audits and data clean-up
  • Collect and analyze Workday usage data to understand employee adoption and utilization and drive the best possible end-user experience
  • Partner closely with our HRIS Configuration team to ensure changes keep employee experience top-of-mind
  • Manage internal Talent systems and work to optimize them with an eye toward efficiency and ease of use
  • Priority projects include (1) integrations between Workday and several key internal systems to substantially reduce manual efforts, (2) identifying opportunities for process improvement, and (3) process review to identify and implement opportunities for improved employee communications and instructions

What You'll Need: 

  • 3+ years of strong direct people management experience required
  • 3+ years of experience managing internal Human Resources software, systems, or platforms, LMS experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated track record mastering new technology
  • Strong analytics experience (Excel reporting and analysis)
  • Basic understanding of human capital metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, tenure, promotions)
  • Comfort with
    • Adobe Connect
    • SQL or equivalent
    • Project Management best practices
    • Organizational Development
