Engineering Manager (Supply Chain Services)
Multiple Openings. Engineering Manager (Supply Chain Services) for Wayfair LLC in Boston, MA to Manage an engineering team in designing software, writing technical designs, and developing applications to support real-time estimation of shipping costs and delivery estimates for a large set of products, suppliers, and carriers across multiple countries; coach and mentor engineering team members on technical and career development topics; plan development roadmap, working closely with the business to determine priorities; estimate the effort of different initiatives, discuss tradeoffs, and align projects to ensure their success; contribute to process improvements, both by leading changes to tech practices and driving team building initiatives; provide technical designs for software business requirements; and review software code developed by engineers. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus two years' experience in performing PHP, C# and SQL Server design and development. One year of experience must include: of the following: Performing system design and application development using C# and .NET; Designing back-end applications using PHP, HTML and SQL; Performing distributed system design for high traffic and scalable .NET web services; Performing SQL database development including designing, queries, triggers and stored procedures, and performance tuning; Working with product managers and engineers to gather requirements, and translating requirements into system designs; and Defining test plans and performing unit testing.
