The Opportunity

Wayfair’s ability to develop and equip our over 2,400 managers is critical to our ongoing success. The Senior Manager of Leadership Development will aid in driving the strategic vision for leadership and management programming at Wayfair. This role’s first task is to plan, build, and launch leadership development programming for our experienced managers and senior leaders. The Senior Manager will not only develop programmatic experiences, but aid in future  visioning and growth of Wayfair’s established leadership programming.

In this role you will partner with leaders across the business, uncover data-driven leadership development opportunities, and drive a high impact, scalable leadership development solutions. Success in this role is determined by your ability to effectively analyze talent data, consult with and influence business partners, and implement high impact and scalable experiences. The ability be innovative in your approach to leadership development and manager training is key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the strategy for leadership development at Wayfair
  • Scope, launch, and manage experienced and executive-level leadership development programming
  • Develop a method to evaluate efficacy and impact of leadership programming
  • Partner with departments to accelerate leadership potential and grow leadership bench

Preferred Skills

  • 5+ years professional experience
  • Master’s degree in leadership, adult learning, organizational effectiveness, or MBA
  • Proven track record of strong program or project management
  • Training design and adult learning (e.g., ADDIE Model, Design Thinking, Kirkpatrick Model, Bloom’s Taxonomy) knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
  • Flexible and quick on their feet and able to leverage data to make rapid decisions
  • Senior presence: ability to work side-by-side with senior executives
  • Passion for the growth and development of others
  • Senior presence: ability to work side-by-side with senior executives
  • Strong customer service focus with a sense of urgency and excellent follow through
